This site uses the WordPress blogging platform, and as such, it is subject to comment spam, therefore this policy applies in relation to comments.
Obviously I use comment spam blocking technologies, but they do not stop all comment spam; in particular, they cannot stop comment spam entered by hand. Since this is the case, the following comment policy applies:
Any comment you write may be deleted without warning at any time if I consider it to be spam. If your comment contains a link to an unrelated site or you provide a URL that is not related to the comment or the corresponding material in the post to which you are commenting, it is likely to be considered comment spam. It is also likely to be considered comment spam if it does not add anything of any use to the post, so don’t comment with just “I agree,” “I like this post,” or similar.
My decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Due to libel law, comments will not be edited, manually or automatically, in any way, even if they contain profanity or language likely to be deemed insulting, degrading, or otherwise of an unacceptable nature.
In the event of a request to remove a comment because it contains copyright content or is libellous, the decision regarding whether to remove the comment will be that of the editor. The decision will be reasonably considered.
